X22 Golf- Masters Special

It is the FIRST Major of 2016 and golf fans can not contain their excitement. We have put together THE GOLF SQUAD to bring you the BEST BETS for the Masters Outright!

Golf’s first major of the year is almost upon us, with the world’s finest players preparing to make their annual pilgrimage to one of sport’s most iconic venues. The first tee shot will be hit on Thursday, 7 April, with a field of fewer than 100 men aiming to sink the winning putt on Sunday, 10 April.

World number one Jason Day, Jordan Spieth – bidding to become the first man to defend the title since Tiger Woods in 2002 – and four-time major winner Rory McIlroy head the field in the year’s first major. What do the experts think;

We start with Tony Teesdale….
The years first Major Championship and for many the best of the whole season. This is the only Major Championship which is always played on the same course Augusta National.
We have a Max win bet and a very big priced each way

No point trying to be clever when the World Number 1 rocks up with a 50 % strike rate and has been second here before when he was a far inferior player its best to get some serious wedge down. Jason Day is the man now not Spieth or Rory and two weeks ago at the matchplay he blew away the Worlds best and we think he will do that this week. Day has power and putting he really is the full package

Max Win Jason Day 7/1 BET VICTOR

The Bookmakers are in generous mood with Skybet going 8 places , Paddy Power 7 and Coral and Bet Victor 6 so there are big priced each way punts to land. Remember a player can finish 7 th or 8th no where near the lead but still land you a big win.

Each way Shane Lowry 150/1 Stanjames 1/4 odds 6 places

Lowry has been in Rory’s shadow for years but last year he won a World Golf Championship event and now bases himself full time in the States.Lowry is a big time player who can often look disinterested at regular events but in a Ryder Cup year on a Major Course Lowry will be fully at it this week and we think a top 6 is well within his capabilities!

Gavin Palmer Masters Bets

This is WIDE OPEN, no question of that and it will be hard to win and hard to pick the winner at this stage. However I am going for two against the field so lets kick off with class and form. I start with the CLASS,

Has had a quiet year compared to last year so far, but he is CLASS and he showed last year he is a man for the big occasion. Defending the US Masters title will not be easy, not since the Woods Era has it been done, but Speith is a young talent with the scope to be another Tiger. He is worth a bet at double digit odds to do it. His form seems to be returning and he can win this. MAX BET for Gavin Palmer.

Now the form…

MAX WIN ADAM SCOTT 12/1 Totesport

Adam Scott has been beaming since arriving Saturday at one of his favorite places in the world — Augusta National Golf Club. As much as he can he’s been wearing his favorite jacket all about the grounds, the green jacket he won in 2013 in a playoff. The debonair Aussie’s form is excellent — he’s won twice this year — and his putting stroke after moving on from anchoring is solid. So ahead of Thursday’s start of the 80th edition of the Masters, Scott isn’t deviating one iota from his blueprint to add a second Masters title. He has the same caddy as 2013, a big plus for Scott.

Robbie Mac Masters Bets

This is a new member of the golf squad who is a man of few words and doesn’t like to give anything away. He has sent TWO BETS for you;

It should be a great week of golf, good luck and lets Make some money!

X22 Golf Idol The Showdown!

The Search for a New Golf Tipster starts here…

The punter v the player. TONY TEESDALE is the punter and GAVIN PLAMER the player. They both have sent their bets in for the WGC MATCHPLAY.

There is a change of format this week as the main event on tour is match play, it is played at Austin Country Club in Texas. We are putting our two golf tipsters head to head today.

The most unpredictable of the 4 WGC evens and anyone favourite backing this week needs their head examining.

My two off the tee for the competition showdown are

Dustin Johnson 28/1 Coral

Monster hitter Johnson is regarded as a bottler but is a good matchplay player and gets so many birdies he will be a match for anyone round here , a brutal hitter he will be playing second into the green on most holes , a big advantage

Brandt Snedeker 66/1 Coral

Sneds isn’t particularly long but what he is the best putter on Tour and has already won this season , I think Coral have been very generous here.

I am honoured to be asked to give my opinion and tips for the WGC MATCHPLAY which starts today. It is a MATCHPLAY even and therefore is a change to the usual format.

Match Play is usually decided on the greens, putting is king! I have two bets, which are varying prices.

Why Rickie? Well he is the man for matchplay. Last year he made the knock-out stages and he never knows when he is beat, what an attitude and is ideal for match play. He is having a great year and is value at 16/1.

Big odds BUT always worth a bet. He is up against two poor matchplay players in my view.  He won both of his matches in the Presidents Cup which one was against Jordan Spieth and he is full of confidence and will be up for this.He is a strongeach-way bet at 66/1

Let us see if its TONY OR GAVIN who will be the X22 Golf idol!

Good luck

So near with Bubba last week missing out by a single shot after a week of missed opportunities on the greens.

Two events this week

Firstly in Thailand the True Thailand Classic at the Black Mountain Golf Club and we think the prize will be staying at home with Thongchai Jaidee a very worthy fave , tough competition who comes here in great form , he plays tough layouts very well and is mentally as strong as it gets which he should be as an ex paratrooper !

Max Each Way Thongchai Jaidee 14/1 bet365 1/4 odds 5 places

PGA TOUR The Valspar Championship

After the Blue Monster at Doral the Tour comes to a very different venue the Copperhead Course , if last week was about power this week is about one thing putting so forget last week and look for the kings of the flat stick

Max Win Bet Jordan Spieth won this last year by finishing you’ve guessed it first in putting stats , last weeks power play was not for him , the real Spieth will stand up this week

Jordan Spieth 11/2 Betfred MAX BET

Each Way the unfortunately named Brian Gay is too short off the tee to contend most weeks but he is an incredible putter and will be really up for it this week 500/1 is available and that has to be worth a small each way on this putters paradise

Each Way Brian Gay 500/1 stanjames 1/4 the odds 6 yes 6 places

12/1 Bubba Looking Good

Bubba Watson sits just four shots off the lead after two rounds of the Cadillac Championship in the USA. We advised him at 12/1. Now best price 10s.

X22 Golf tipster said this was THE BET OF THE SEASON and he is still of that view. he says…

“Bubba has shot nine consecutive rounds under par on this course and two more should be enough for him to win. he is in the perfect spot, just behind the leaders. if you are leading you have all the media to do and the spotlight shines bright. Bubba is in the perfect spot for victory!”

Bubba Won the Northern Trust Open three weeks ago. Bubba’s been particularly sharp on Sundays this season, the final day of competition and very much the business end of golf. Adam Scott who won last week did so by a reduced margin and fell over the line. His record out front in tournaments is not great.

The redesigned Blue Monster proved to be a big advantage for the big hitters last year, and Bubba is one of the longest in the game. This is a power course and his starts around here are amazing. Conditions are playing in to Bubba’s hands.

Bookmakers over reacted to him dropping a couple of shots early and I was able to get on at 33/1. he soon made up the shots but what a bet at 33/1

X22 Golf- Get On The Bet of The Year!

Our Golf Tipster is yet to have a winner in 2016. He had an amazing 2015, making over 1000 Points profit.   He knows his stuff. And with his future on the line he has pulled out all the stops.

Just one Tournament for us this week but its a big one The WGC Cadillac at Doral. Known as the Blue Monster it is a big hitters paradise !!

Owned by one Donald Trump who you may have heard of , it was already long and he has made it even longer with water lurking at many holes ,if it gets windy this could get very very tricky !!!!

MEGA Max Win Bubba Watson 12/1 william hill BET OF SEASON SO FAR

3 rd here last year when he got into a public spat with Trump which they have made up , a winner last time he played Bubba is power all the way but is putting better than ever that is a potent mix round here should be fave LUMP ON

Each way Justin Thomas 45/1 Paddy Power 1/4 odds 5 places

Best mates with world number 1 Jordan Spieth this monster hitter comes here in top form , Thomas feels he is ready to join the big league if he is ever going to do it its round here , he goes for everything and won’t back off. 45/1 is massive

X22 Golf Bets – Free Golf Bets

X22 Golf Tipster is back with his picks for two tournaments this week.

The Honda Classic

At last its the start of the Florida Swing , the 14 Tournaments this year have had 14 different winners showing how difficult it is to win on the World’s greatest tour.

We are at PGA National at Palm Beach Florida home of the 3 stretch of holes known as the Bear Trap .15 16 and 17 , 2 par 3 s and a par 4 which are some of the hardest holes on Tour. Many a round will be ruined here and with wind forecast early in the week this could get mega tough.Rory is favourite but he was garbage last Sunday and needs to sort his putting out fast.

OTT logo

10pt Max Each Way Patrick Reed 20/1 Paddy Power 1/4 odds 7 places

Here we go again with Paddys 7 places offer and we think Reed is amazing value , he should have won here last year really but went in the drink twice when pushing hard for the victory. He took last week off and has been here practicing very early.Reed knows its the type of course he can beat the big hitters and we think he has a massive chance this week

Each Way Padraig Harringotn 125/1 Stanjames 1/4 odds 6 places

How about a reigning Champion who is in excellent form at 125/1 yes you haven’t misread it , Harrington caused a shock here last year with a stunning return to form. There was no fluke and he has built his early season programme around defending this.We think Stan James are taking a big risk offering 125/1 6 places and we are happy to take them on with the mercurial Irishman.

ISPS Handa Perth International

a co sacntioned event between Australia and the European Tour has not exactly captured the imagination of the top golfers and in truth looks a poor event.

We suggest two small each ways here because the course can get very windy and you need to be lucky with tee times.

Each Way Marcus Fraser 35/1 Totesport 1/4 odds 5 places

Fraser won last week in Kuala lumper and provided he is not weary has a big chance here.He will certainly be full of confidence and has played well in clusters of weeks in the past.He knows this course very well.

Each Way Peter Lonard 400/1 Stanjames 1/4 odds 5 places

Whilst not the force of old Lonard is now over his serious health problems and back on tour , one thing he can do is play in the wind and in a wind open Tournament with essentially 100/1 a place on offer with this bet he is definitely worth a small each way

OTT logo

Bet of the Week has to be Patrick Reed each way in the Honda

X22 Golf Bets

Two really exciting Tournaments this week

The Northern Trust Open

We start at the Riviera Country Club in California where shot making is the order of the day and officially the hardest greens on the Tour.

Logic tells us the big hitters will have a frustrating week and we cannot look any further than World Number 1 Jordan Spieth who last year put in 4 solid rounds here.Spieth got too far back last week but finished strongly and is reportedly burning the course up in practice.

OTT logo

The first OTT Bet of 2016
10pt Max Win Jordan Spieth 13/2 Bet365

Our second bet is last years winner James Hahn at a whopping 150/1 , there was no fluke about his victory and he comes here in reasonable form , we think a return the scene of his triumph
will bring about a big week

Each Way James Hahn 150/1 Stan James 1/4 odds 6 places

The Maybank Malaysia

First time event at what looks a fascinating course , The Old Course at Royal Selangor Kuala Lumper.Tree lined and tight fairways the players will have to think their way round here and the most important club will
be the Driver. This tests many of the players who have got used to smashing it in the Desert swing for six weeks.

Our main bet has to be Matthew Fitzpatrick who played some indifferent golf on the greens in the Desert but one thing this kid does is drive the ball very straight. He has worked hard on his putting game in the last ten days and we think he should be favourite

Max Each Way Matthew Fitzpatrick 25/1 Bet365 1/4 odds 5 places

Our second bet is another superb Driver who has had success in this part of the World David Horsey. He is not the longest but that won’t matter here and arrives in decent form.He will fancy his chances at this venue and will be playing from the fairways not the tees. The important thing here is many of the forecast faves are not the straightest Drivers so they may well struggle

Each Way David Horsey 100/1 Bet365 1/4 odds 5 places

Golf: Late Bet Rickie Fowler 10/3

Phoenix Waste Management Event

We have JB Holmes still slugging it out for a place but we feel that Rickie Fowler now up to number 4 in the World can claim another Title and win this.

He is three shots behind current leader Danny Lee but thats nothing round here and on the final day Lee is likely to be very jumpy when he sees Fowler on the tee.

This is a course where birdies come thick and fast but when you are leading in front of 120 thousand people the biggest attendance in the World of Golf , nerves play a massive part

Take the 100/30 with Betfred and have a Win Bet on Rickie Fowler

X22 Golf Bets- Update

Golf Bets Update

Henrik Stenson 11/1 Max Bet in Contention in Dubai…

We have a live MAX 11/1 bet in the Dubai Dessert Classic as Henrik Stenson sits just 3 shots off the leader, at seven under. Defending champion Rory McIlroy threw his ball into a lake in disgust before recovering with four late birdies in round two of the Dubai Desert Classic. He is six shots off the leader and our opposition to the defending champion was well placed, we are confident he will not be winning this year.

JB Holmes is no longer in contention and both picks in the USA likewise. Golf betting is one where you hit big winners at big prices and play the long game. This service hit 1200 points profit last year. A Max bet is 5 points and a win bet is one point. If Stenson wins we will win 55 points (Max bet at 11/1 advised) and will have lost 22 points on other bets making a 33 point score this week.

henrik stenson golf

Stenson is coming back from Knee surgery and knows Dubai well having lived there for several years. He plays well in Dubai, it was here that he won back-to-back DP World Tour Championships in 2013 and 2014 and it was here that he won the prestigious Race to Dubai. The 39-year-old, and world ranked no 6, has been a familiar face at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters as well as the prestigious Dubai Desert Classic, which forms the “Desert Swing” on the European Tour. He is playing well and consistency could be the key to him winning on Sunday.

He is bang in contention and now best price 7/1 from 11/1 which was advised as a MAX 5 point win bet by X22 Golf.

X22 Golf Tips

Golf is back with TWO big tournaments including the Dubai Dessert Classic. Some of the biggest stars in golf congregate in Dubai. Like everything in Dubai the course is bigger, better and more expensive than most of the others in the world! There is BIG MONEY on offer for the players and BIG MONEY to be made for us.

This is one of the best tournaments of the year! Rory McIlroy is an incredibly short price favourite, he is looking to defend the title he won last year. He is the star attraction on show in Dubai. Here he is doing his PR bit at the amazing Dubai Mall…

If you wanted a great golf holiday, Dubai would be the one to take. You can however watch it on TV all week!

TV Coverage
Live on Sky all four days, starting on Thursday morning

Last Five Winners
2015 – Rory McIlroy -22
2014 – Stephen Gallacher -16
2013 – Stephen Gallacher -22

Will McIlroy win? Well he has the ability, obviously, but I think he is worth opposing! he may go and win but at 5/2, no value. Instead here is X22 Golf’s advice for the Dubai Dessert Classic…
