Hail The Hurricane’s Perfect 10

What a superb racehorse! Hurricane Fly clinched a record fifth Irish Champion Hurdle by beating old rival Jezki at Leopardstown on Sunday.
The 11-year-old, trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Ruby Walsh, has won all 10 of his races at the course.

Neck-and-neck with Jezki going the last, Hurricane Fly jumped the better to go clear and extend his remarkable world record of Grade One wins to 22. It was superb to see and at the age of 11 he is running as good as ever!

We were on, the Pay as You Win service made Hurricane Fly a Maximum Bet! The price was 11/10 and a big win was landed, but surely anyone who follows racing would have been smiling at this grand old horse!

All roads now lead to Cheltenham, BetVictor cut Hurricane Fly from 14s to 8/1 for the Champion Hurdle and pushed out Jezki from 5s to 6/1 to defend his crown after Willie Mullins’ 11-y-old won a 22nd Grade 1 success in the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday!

It would be one of the greatest ever wins if The Fly were to regain The Champion Hurdle, but one thing is for sure, he has the right duo masterminding the campaign in Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh! Only a few weeks to Cheltenham now, BRING IT ON!
