Viking Jack Qualifies for Eclipse Semi Finals

Viking Jack ran a superb race to qualify for the Semi-Finals of the Eclipse at Nottingham….

Jack missed the break but powered down the back straight to run MAUM LEGEND, antepost fav for the competition, to a head.

Not only did Jack miss the break but he also was taken wide at the bend. Jim Hayton was delighted and was full of praise for his category one winner!

The semi-final is next Monday. Viking Jack is guaranteed the six box, with the draw being made on Tuesday by the GBGB. It is my belief that the draw should be made in public at the track, or if not filmed and posted on YOUTUBE.

Should the big guns all be kept apart by the draw, if done openly, then then there can be no allegations levelled at the integrity of the sport. Certainly this is another way the sport can help itself.

Viking Jack Draws Hard Eclipse Heat

Viking Jack will need to be at the top of his game to qualify for the Eclipse Semi-Final, with the first three going through on Monday night at Nottingham….

The good news is Jack is back in 6, and is ready for action. We are confident, the track suits Jack who runs Nottingham really well.

Maum Legend and Underground Paul are major players to win the competition and this is quite easily the toughest heat of all.

Viking Jack though is more than good enough and this is the competition we always thought we could win!

Lode Henry runs at Sheffield on Sunday in a 480m race.
